CND Vinylux Flirtation Collection for Summer 2016
Stepping inside from double digit negative temperatures, it’s tempting to think about summer. CND Vinylux has just introduced its Flirtation Collection for Summer 2016 so I tried to get in the summer mood by testing out their new summer nail polish shades. (Disclosure: I received CND Vinylux Flirtation Collection on a complimentary basis in order to complete my review.)
CND Vinylux is a long-lasting nail polish that will not chip for a week. So far, I have not found a brand that is better than CND Vinylux with regard to staying power.

The new Flirtation Collection is a combination of fun pastels and vibrant shades. There are six creme nail polishes and two shimmery polishes in this Summer 2016 nail polish collection. The nail polish names in the above image going from left to right are: Skin Tease, Pink Pursuit, Desert Poppy, Date Night, Aqua-Instance, Honey Darlin’, Lavender Lace and Be Demure.
I was immediately drawn to Date Night, a true blue nail polish shade, since I wore blue nail polish on my toes all of last summer. Date Night is one of the Flirtation Collection’s creme nail polishes and goes on well with one or two coats without leaving streaks.

Aqua-Instance is a gorgeous teal shade that I can see myself wearing a lot this spring and summer. This creme nail polish adds just enough pop to your hands without being too bright.

One of the most whimsical colours from the Flirtation Collection is Honey Darlin’, a chalky, yellow creme polish that I could easily see on the hands of bridesmaids or patio patrons this summer. You need to apply at least two coats of Honey Darlin’ since it tends to show streaks. (Actually, all of the lighter creme polish shades from the Flirtation Collection show streaks more readily than the darker shades.)

I don’t wear orange clothing since my skin tone is pinkish and clashes with orange. Desert Poppy, however, is a great shade of vibrant orange that will look great with summer dresses.

Skin Tease is a creme nude that is a little more sophisticated than other nude shades due to its opacity. You could wear this shade of polish throughout the summer since it complements virtually any colour.

I would have to say that Be Demure, a pretty pink opaque polish is one of my favourites of the collection. This shade also has a chalky quality, which makes the colour stand out. (The shade is much pinkier than it appears in the image below.) I think the colour would be even more outstanding if I had a tan.

Some of the nail polishes in CND Vinylux’s Flirtation Collection are available in CND Shellac including Lavender Lace, Be Demure, Aqua-Instance, Pink Pursuit and Honey Darlin’.
You can find CND Vinylux Flirtation Collection online or at salons including Trade Secrets as of March 2016. CND Vinylux nail polishes retail for $12.50.
