Puressentiel Sprays Contain Essential Oils

Do you want to breathe purer air? No one likes lingering odors in their home, yet many commercial sprays contain allergy-inducing chemicals. Puressentiel is a European brand of natural health products that has recently launched in Canada. I was provided with several Puressentiel sprays on a complimentary basis in order to complete my review.

Puressential Purifying Air Spray, Rest & Relax Spray and Respiratory Spray contain essential oils, creating a very balanced blend. They do not contain dyes, and are free of synthetic preservatives and synthetic perfumes.

I can’t use commercial air sprays with synthetic ingredients because they irritate my throat. That’s why I was eager to try Puressentiel Purifying Air Spray. The directions suggest spraying once in each of the four corners of a room. I tried spraying it once in our kitchen to see if it would eliminate odours. One spray seemed to be enough to get rid of lingering kitchen smells. The spray’s 41 essential oils, some of which are English lavender, dill, orange, anise, sweet basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, wild marjoram, rosewood, Atlas cedar wood, Scotch pine, cumin seed, cyprus, geranium, eucalyptus, juniper, and fennel produce a lovely fragrance, which did not irritate my nose or throat. The product must be stored away from heat sources.

Puressentiel Rest & Relax Spray is good for promoting sleep. The 12 essential oils include rosewood, mandarin, lavender, neroli, sandalwood, orange, marjoram, cypress, vervain, palmarosa, garden-chamomile and petitgrain. I cannot use only lavender to promote sleep since I find it puts me in a sleep coma. I tried spraying Puressentiel Rest & Relax Spray once in my bedroom about an hour before I went to bed and I did not experience any adverse reactions such as sleeping too deeply. Because there are 12 essential oils in this product, the lavender is dulled and thus, doesn’t have as strong an effect on me.

Puressentiel also makes a product that you can use to reduce stress during the day. Puressentiel Stress Roll On can be dabbed on your wrists a few times a day to keep you calm and cool. I tried the Roll On and loved the outdoor scent. Puressentiel Stress Roll On contains 12 essential oils including Roman chamomile, lavender, lavandin, marjoram, mentha pulegium, neroli, orange, petitgrain, West India sandalwood, Clary sage, vetiver and ylang ylang.
