Are you a fan of adobo, lumpia, mechado or biko? You’ll want to check out the Kultura Filipino Arts Festival taking place at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto from August 5-7, 2016. The 11th annual festival features modern and traditional Filipino cuisine, live performances, a marketplace and art installations.

On Sunday, August 7, 2016, Kain Kalye, the Filipino Street Eats Competition will feature local chefs from restaurants including Lamesa Filipino Kitchen, KANTO by Tita Flips, Tito Ron’s and Platito Filipino Soul Food showcasing traditional and modern Filipino cuisine.
Each of the restaurants in the festival will be offering three menu items at $1, $3 or $7.
Purchase a Kain Kalye Passport, which will let you try each of the chefs’ competition items, which are the $3 items. Kain Kalye Passports are $10 and can be purchased online.
