Deploying 31,000 brush strokes per minute, this toothbrush works much more efficiently than a manual toothbrush to keep your teeth clean. The Philips Sonicare Essence+ toothbrush comes with one brush head and a battery charger.

Dentists recommend that you brush your teeth for at least two minutes. With the built-in Smartimer, you’ll know exactly how long you need to brush your teeth. The Philips Sonicare Essence+ also has a Quadpacer that beeps after 30 seconds to let you know when you should start brushing in another quadrant of your mouth. You can take your Philips Sonicare Essence+ power toothbrush on vacation since the battery charge lasts 10 days.

If you are concerned about the transition from manual to power toothbrush, the EasyStart program automatically increases the toothbrush’s power level up to the first 14 days.

  50. I have an Oral-B toothbrush which I don’t love.. I think I want a more traditional brush head, instead of the round type that comes with the toothbrush device. I know that it’s so much more beneficial to use an electric type though..

  70. Currently No I do not use an electric. I have in the past and had to throw it out because it wouldn’t hold the charge and it was becoming increasing expensive to purchase the new heads for it. It was just about the same price as a new electric one. So, I gave up.

I bought a battery operated toothbrush targeted towards kids because it has a certain cartoon-type design on it that I thought kids would like so I bought one for the child I was thinking of and I bought the same thing for myself, thinking I’ll try it out before giving it as a gift. When I used one of them for myself, I was surprised to find the toothbrush to be unsuitable for kids in my opinion and returned the other unopened toothbrush. I would like to win this toothbrush because it will work a whole lot better than the “kids” style one I have now.

  92. We had an electric toothbrush a long time ago when they first come out but no longer have one. I’ve been thinking about getting another one but just haven’t yet. It would be primarily for the hubby who has about 5 toothbrushes laying around.

  93. Yes I use an electric tooth brush !! The last time I was at the dentist I got the best check up ever !! She said it was due to using an electric tooth brush. I don’t currently have an electric toothbrush, but it was highly recommended as I’m having trouble doing the proper brushing technique – I just get too lazy to really focus on it and so go back to the back and forth brushing instead of the up and down, and my teeth/gums are paying for it.   195. Yes, i do use an electric toothbrush and I will keep using it. i don’t believe a non-electric toothbrush does a good job.
