Freshii and lululemon hosted Sweat Like a Champion/Fuel Like a Champion in Toronto on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 with Ironman champion Lionel Sanders and Lululemon run ambassador Eddie Yonger. Now I consider myself an athletic person and try and work out every day, but this workout took it to the next level!

We started the evening at lululemon on Cumberland Street in Toronto’s Yorkville. We then ran to Queen’s Park and began what I would call the hardest workout I have ever done. We were split into two groups: groups A and B. Group A was asked to run 1 km around Queen’s Park while group B was asked to do 100 squats!! When group A returned from the run, group B would run and group A would begin the squats. This continued for four agonizing rounds (see photo of the full workout).

After the insanity (or at least what I thought was the end), we stretched and Lionel gave us three tips on how we can become great runners too.

1) Feel your fingertips when running (relax your arms),
2) Relax your face (allow your cheeks to bounce),
3) Run slowly during your slow runs and run fast during your fast runs (go all out).

We were then asked to run again all the way from Queen’s Park to Freshii at Roxborough and Yonge Street. This was absolutely the hardest part because my body was screaming for me to stop! Once we finally arrived at Freshii, we were offered some delicious treats and much needed water.

Even though this workout was the hardest thing I have ever done, if I was asked to do this again, I would have to say ‘yes’.
lululemon hosts many events at their Cumberland Street location. If you’re interested in attending one, see lululemon Cumberland.
