Some might think that what’s going on in the U.S. elections is scary stuff, but if you really want to get spooked for Halloween, check out these Toronto Halloween events for 2016.

Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland 2016
Beginning Oct. 7, 2016 and running from Friday to Sunday only to Oct. 31, 2016, Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland features 20 haunted attractions including the popular ZOMBIES 4D Interactive Dark Ride. Enjoy midway rides that are even spookier in the dark and watch out for roaming monsters on the loose in the park. Admission is as low as $31.99 plus taxes and fees if purchased online. Park admission price is $37.99-$39.99. A Fright Lane Pass is $45 plus taxes and fees if purchased online and will let you bypass the line-ups for the Haunted Mazes, as well as give you a Skeleton Key to access additional rooms. A Haunt pass is $49.99 plus taxes and fees if purchased online and gives you unlimited visits. Halloween Haunt hours are Oct. 7-9, 14-16, 21-23 and 28-31, 2016 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. This event is not recommended for children under 13.
Haunted High Park
Venture into High Park after dark on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., explore the grounds and discover the spine-tingling legends and ghost tales that have been scaring visitors to the park for years. Learn about Victorian mourning traditions inside the dimly-lit rooms of Colborne Lodge. Refreshments are included. Teens (13 to 16) must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Ghost Walks at Exhibition Place
The CNE Midway sits on ground that was once a War of 1812 battleground. This is just one of the fascinating things you’ll learn on this Toronto Halloween ghost tour, which will take you to the haunted sites around Exhibition Place. You’ll visit Stanley Barracks near Enercare Centre, the Horse Palace, the Press Building and Scadding Cabin and learn about reported hauntings. Tours begin at the General Services Building on Manitoba Drive and end at Scadding Cabin. This Toronto ghost walk takes place on Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2016 at 7 p.m. The cost is $20 per person. Screemers at Exhibition Place 2016
The ghosts and goblins have returned to haunt the Exhibition! Screemers is one of hte most popular Toronto Halloween events, which features a park with a Maniac Maze where lingering souls can emerge at any moment, a Haunted House, and the Slasher Wax Museum with slasher movie characters. Ride the rides on the Midway of Mayhem as often as you want. Take refuge at the Vampire Lounge (19+) for beer, wine, pizza, hot dogs, donuts and finger snacks (for an additional cost). Open Oct. 7, 8, 14, 15, 21-23, and 26-31, 2016. Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to midnight and Sundays and holidays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Cost is $29.95 plus HST. The Screemers Midway is located just west of BMO Field, south of the Dufferin Gates at Exhibition Place.
Black Creek Pioneer Village Ghost Walks
Black Creek Pioneer Village will be offering three tours at Halloween on Sat., Oct. 15, 22, and 29, 2016. Tickets for tours can be purchased online. The three tours include:
- The Haunted Walk Experience with Haunted Toronto – Receive a special limited edition Haunted Walk flashlight. Tours are at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are General Admission $24.75, Students $22.75 and Up to 14 $20.75.
- Tales & Ales – This tour includes ghost stories and beer tastings. Look for ghost sightings at Flynn House and the Cabinet Maker’s Shop. Tours are 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are $23. 19+
- Death & Dying – Learn about Victorian death rituals including postmortem photography, mourning and remembrance. Find out about the diseases, bloodletting and trepanation that many Victorians were subjected to. Tickets are $23.
