Calii Love on King West is the newest addition to the Poké food scene in Toronto, a style of food that has really become popular in Toronto. Calii Love puts a little twist on their dishes, emphasizing organic, health conscious ingredients that are both vegan and gluten-free. Located in the popping King West area, this place just makes you feel like you’re away on holiday when you walk in. A very colourful and bright atmosphere makes you feel so good.

Making use of a spacious location, the restaurant features long, communal-style tables that promote sparkling conversations with strangers.

I am a bit anxious when I am required to sit beside strangers, so I would have liked to have seen more individual tables, but I made due and got to chat with some pretty awesome people.

The food was amazing! We sampled a small “Adventurous” bowl ($10.95), one of the most popular, which has salmon, furikake, kimchee, jalapeños, cucumber, sriracha, wasabi aioli on rice. We also sampled the “Grateful” bowl ($10.95), which was my favourite. It contained tofu, green onions, spicy shoe, edamame, avocado, nori, wasabi peas with zucchini and sweet potato noodles (YUM!).

I also tried the “Joyful” smoothie, which was tasty, but I kept having to spit out the pineapple seeds, which was pretty annoying. Other than that though, it was all delicious. We didn’t try it because the line was quite large, but everything is customizable and you can create your own bowls in whatever combination you desire. You also have the option of adding extra toppings.

This was my first experience trying Poké and it was a good one; I will definitely be returning.
Calii Love is located at 367 King Street West, Toronto and is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
I’m so glad that you posted a photo for this place. I’d love to try it. My hubby is a vegan.
The menu looks good but it’s quite pricey.
