Remembrance Day in Canada is on Friday, November 11, 2016. While many people think of it as just another holiday, the importance of the day is to honour the armed forces who have fought for our country. Remembrance Day, however, is not a statutory holiday in Ontario. Here’s what’s open and closed on Remembrance Day in Toronto 2016.

  1. Thanks so much for this really detailed list. I always forget what is opened and closed on Remembrance Day. I remember, as a kid, we had the day off of school. But now, my boys go to school on Remembrance Day.
