New Year’s Eve 2018 Comedy Extravaganza

If you want to bring in 2018 with a laugh, the New Year’s Eve Comedy Extravaganza at Massey Hall takes place on Sat., Dec. 31, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Hosted by Robert Klein, the headliner is Peter Johansson with Rob Bebenek, Kyle Brownrigg, Massie Cassella, Shannon Laverty, Tyler Morrison and Michael Moses and Alex Wood. Tickets are $39.50, $49.50, $59.50 and $69.50 and can be purchased online.

Enjoy New Year’s Eve 2018 at Nathan Phillips Square including live music performances, a DJ skating party sponsored by Tim Hortons and fireworks at midnight. Here is the schedule for New Year’s Eve 2018 at Nathan Phillips Square. REVISED: Due to the extreme cold, all live performances are cancelled; the event will start at 11:30 p.m.

Midnite Run and Party 2018

Ring in 2018 in a healthy way with a 5K run/walk at midnight in Liberty Village. Celebrate 2018 after the race at a party at Brazen Head Pub. You can skip the race and just buy a party ticket. The evening schedule is as follows:

10:30 p.m. – Doors open, Race kit pickup
11:30 p.m. – Costume Contest
12 a.m. sharp – 5K run / walk starts
12:15 a.m. – 3 a.m. Dancing and party at the Brazen Head, 165 East Liberty Street
1 a.m. – Awards for Top Overall Finishers
2 a.m. – Special Large Prize Giveaways!

All registered runners and party attendees receive:

– a $25 swag bag (choose from Runners gloves or a Toque)

Miracle on Mercer Street

Bring the family to the Second City Family Company’s holiday show, Miracle on Mercer Street! Featuring The Second City’s adorable puppet troupe and their funny human friends, Miracle on Mercer Street tells the story of a 13 year old girl who spends the winter holiday visiting her grandmother in the town of Hollydale. But the town is being torn apart as the residents clash over their different traditions, and a dastardly mayor’s plan to chop down the town’s oldest tree! Performance times on Sunday, December 31, 2017 are 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The Second City is located at 51 Mercer Street. Tickets are Adult $15, Child $12 and can be purchased online.

Dwayne Gretzky The Infinity Ball New Year’s Eve 2018

Toronto’s party band kicks off 2018 in an infinite palace built for New Year’s Eve 2018. Dwayne Gretzky celebrates the greatest songs of all time. This group of Toronto musicians covers a wide range of artists including David Bowie, The Supremes, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, The Strokes, and Britney Spears. Tier 1 tickets are $75 while supplies last, Tier 2 tickets are $85. Dwayne Gretzky The Infinity Ball takes plae at Enercare Centre, Heritage Court Entrance, 100 Princes’ Boulevard. New Year’s Eve 2018 at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

If you’re looking for something different for New Year’s Eve 2018, you can attend Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada for their 19+ event. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres by Daniel et Daniel, music by DJ Shamz and full bars located near the galleries. Enjoy a countdown to midnight and keep partying until 2 a.m. Event starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $90 plus HST and include general admission, 1 drink token, hors d’oeuvres, coat check and a photo at the Ripley’s Photo Port. Purchase tickets online. Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is located at 288 Bremner Boulevard.
