You’ll be able to do all of this at the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo 2018 returning to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto from November 22-25, 2018. The Gourmet Food & Wine Expo 2018 gives you the opportunity to taste and sample wines, spirits, beer and food from a wide selection of vendors. You’ll learn new ways to pair food and wines at your next holiday party. For more specific knowledge about various wines, beers and spirits, you can sign up for a Tutored Tasting class. You’ll also learn tips from celebrity chefs hosting culinary demonstrations on the Chef Stage.
Fine Wine Tasting Lounge 2018
If you are a wine collector, elite visitor or private buyer, you’ll want to stop by the Fine Wine Tasting Lounge where you’ll be able to sample some of the world’s finest wines, as well as order vintages or limited release selections.
Tutored Tastings
Tutored Tastings are small classes that focus on a particular wine or topic. Offered by Canadian experts including Master Sommeliers John Szabo and Scott Zebarth, tutored tastings are your opportunity to learn and taste new wines and spirits. Some of the tutored tastings are listed below:

Learn about Garnacha aka Grenache, one of the oldest grape varieties. You have probably tasted wine made from garnacha since it is one of the most planted grapes in the world. New innovative wines are featuring Garnacha. Here’s your chance to sample it and learn more.

This introductory session will showcase wine samples from The Gourmet Food & WIne Expo’s Fine WIne Tasting Lounge. Christopher Waters will guide you through a wide range of aromas and flavours of various wines where you’ll learn to appreciate their subtle differences. This is a great class to take before you head out onto the tasting room floor.

If you are unsure about which wine to pair with seafood, meat or pasta, this is the class for you. You’ll learn how the main flavour profiles in food – acidity, saltiness, and sweetness – affect the perception of various wines.
