Do you have Meghan Markle mania? The Duchess of Sussex is due with her and Prince Harry’s first child towards the end of April. If you are super excited about the big day, you might want to celebrate by attending the Royal Baby Shower Afternoon Tea at The Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto. This special afternoon tea, which will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the hotel’s Sovereign Ballroom, has been specifically designed by the hotel’s Executive Chef Elaine Wong with the Royal baby in mind.
Some of the pregnancy-themed menu items include ‘Pastel Pink Battenberg “If It’s A Girl,”‘ “Eggplant & Goat Cheese Bundle of Joy,” “Baby Bump Madeleine” and “Maple Walnut Choux Bun In The Oven.” Other sandwiches include Spring Chicken Fricassee, Ontario Maple Mustard Pulled Pork, Crisp Cucumber & Watermelon Radish on Mint & Dill Cream Cheese and Egg Mimosa and Asparagus Pinwheel. And of course, the menu will be rounded out (no pun intended) by Cherry Blossoming Bubble Tea, as well as Glowing Chamomile, Lemon & Turmeric Scones with homemade strawberry jam, lemon curd and classic Devonshire Cream. The Royal Baby Shower Afternoon Tea is $54 per person plus tax and gratuity.
