Summer is almost here and that means enjoying more time outdoors. Are you a fan of the Bard and do you love outdoor theatre? Then you’re in luck because there are several Shakespeare performances in Toronto in summer 2019. Read further to see which Shakespeare plays are being performed.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Little Avenue Memorial Park
Enjoy free performances of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Little Avenue Memorial Park in Etobicoke. Performances are each night from July 16-25, 2019 at 7 p.m. There will be opening acts featuring local talent. The play is 75 minutes. Bring your own seating if desired. Little Avenue Memorial Park is a five minute walk from Weston UP Express Station.

Shakespeare in High Park 2019
Canadian Stage’s Shakespeare in High Park is on from July 4, 2019 to September 1, 2019 with productions running on alternating days: Measure For Measure on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8 p.m. with Much Ado About Nothing on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 8 p.m. Run time for each performance is 1 hour and 45 minutes with no intermission. Tickets for Shakespeare in High Park are Pay-What-You-Can or your can reserve a Premium ticket for $30 online. Reservations are held until 7:45 p.m. High Park Amphitheatre is located at High Park, 1873 Bloor Street West.
Driftwood Theatre’s A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream
Driftwood Theatre performs a musical version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at various locations across Toronto and the GTA. This jazz-infused performance will be performed live and A Cappella. Performances in Toronto and the GTA are:
