The Word On The Street Toronto Festival returns to Harbourfront Centre in Toronto on September 21-22, 2019. This Toronto book and magazine festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary. It’s a great opportunity to discover new Canadian authors and books. The literary festival is jam-packed with activities for adults and children. You’ll be able to listen to award-winning authors discuss their books, learn about new books from publishers across Canada, and listen to great music. There are lots of activities for the kids too!

12:45 p.m. – Nathan Ripley discusses his book, Your Life Is Mine; Andrew Pyper discusses The Homecoming; and Nicole Lundrigan discusses Hideaway. Moderated by Vish Khanna.
1:45 p.m. – Cherie Dimaline will discuss her book, Empire of Wild.
4:30 p.m. – M.G. Vassanji will discuss his new novel, A Delhi Obsession.
Exhibitor Marketplace
One of the not-to-be-missed segments of The Word On The Street Toronto Festival is its Exhibitor Marketplace where you get to explore a diverse range of books on the Canadian literary scene. You’ll get a chance to talk to over 200 publishers and booksellers and discover and purchase books at the largest book marketplace in Canada.
Concert Stage
Harbourfront Centre’s Concert Stage will feature exciting performances and discussions for children and adults alike:
- 11 a.m. – Sharon and Bram present Skinnamarink
- 12:15 p.m. –Â From Where I Stand will feature Steve Paikin in conversation with Jody Wilson-Raybould.
TD KidStreet
TD KidStreet is devoted to fun activities for kids. They’ll get to participate in face painting and science experiments, as well as programming featuring bestselling children’s authors and illustrators at the TD Children’s Literature Tent.
