The 4th Annual Toronto Vegan Social Pop-Up took place on September 5, 2019 at Love Child Social at King and Bathurst. The event celebrated vegan and sustainable products. Guests sampled complimentary tastings, cocktails and mocktails while discovering new vegan products and sustainable shopping.

Panago Pizza was on hand offering guests complimentary pieces of their delicious pizza. Lovechock was also offering samples of their vegan chocolate bars made with raw cacao and superfoods such as blueberries, hemp seed, almonds and cranberries. I also sampled some tasty cauliflower “wings” from Wholly Veggie.
I enjoyed meeting business owners and discovering new sustainable products. Creative Thali is a company that makes eco-friendly, disposable dishes from palm leaves. If you’re thinking that these dishes are expensive, they actually cost less than buying a package of styrofoam plates from your local discount store and of course they are much better for the environment. For example, a package of 25 9″ plates from Creative Thali costs $12.99.
I also loved these vegan bags that are made from leaves. Aren’t they gorgeous?

I had a chance to talk to the owner of Save Our Scruff, a non profit organization that rehomes and rescues dogs around the world. Save Our Scruff is different from other rescues because they do not turn any dog away. They believe that a dog in need, is a dog in need.
If you are thinking of expanding your fur family, you can adopt a dog from Save Our Scruff. You can also offer to foster dogs in need. If you want to consider donating to Save Our Scruff, you’ll be pleased to know that 100% of donations go directly to helping dogs.
I stopped at The Queen V booth to see all of the wonderful vegan skincare products she sells in her bricks and mortar store at 835 Bloor Street West. You’ll find green beauty brands such as Graydon Skincare, Niu Body, Buck Naked, Savonneries des Diligences, Kaia, Mamas Life, Routine, East Coast Glow, Pure Anada and Tin Feather.
Media received a VIP swag bag of vegan products to try at home, as well as gift cards for Il Fornello, Panago and Fresh Restaurants. I can’t wait to try these vegan products!

How cool to see all of those vegan brands! I would definetely love to look into some more!
Yes, it’s great to learn about new vegan brands! Cheers, Lori
Plant based leather good look like something I would want to check out. Those bags are really nice. I am glad there are options like these nowadays.
