The holiday season is gearing up and that means many people will be planning their holiday parties. If you plan to have a lot of guests, but you don’t have a large enough table to seat everyone, choosing a menu that solely features appetizers is a great idea. Even if you do have room at your tables, an appetizers-only holiday party means you don’t have to worry about tying up your oven for a few hours cooking a main dish. If this is a family get together, you can even ask your family members to each bring an appetizer so that the labour is shared. Here are some of the best holiday appetizers for your Christmas party.

Avocado Feta Dip
A Christmas holiday party has to feature a good dip and this one is not only festive looking with its red and green ingredients, but healthy and gluten-free. Just pair it with crackers and you’re good to go. If you want a vegan version, just omit the feta cheese.

Roasted Cabbage with Walnuts, Parmesan and Balsamic
Your vegetarian guests will love this roasted cabbage appetizer. If you are not a fan of cabbage, try eating it roasted as roasting brings out a whole new flavour. And the side benefit is cabbage is great for your skin and includes a host of antioxidants. Walnuts add a crunchy texture to this appetizer while Balsamic adds a sophisticated flavour profile.

Low Carb Avocado Shrimp Cucumber Appetizer
One of the best holiday appetizers are these Avocado Shrimp Cucumber Appetizers – I don’t know about you, but they are calling my name! For me, a holiday party wouldn’t be the same without a shrimp appetizer. These tasty shrimp avocado bites are not only cute, but they are healthy, low carb and super easy to prepare.

Phyllo Wrapped Asparagus with Herb Sauce

Spinach Artichoke Dip
