Sponsored by China Glaze
The last time I tried China Glaze nail polish was about seven years ago when I received a complimentary sample at a beauty blogger event. I liked the nail polish colour, but I found I had to apply at least three coats for the polish to appear opaque. I generally prefer nail polishes that require only two coats. Fast forward to last week when I was approached to review the China Glaze Havana Nights Collection for Summer 2021. I was a little reluctant because of my previous experience with China Glaze nail polishes, but when I had a look at the colours, I told myself I had to try them. I’m giving away the six-piece collection to a lucky winner. See giveaway details below.

The Havana Nights Collection is appropriately named because these nail polish colours are hot! I’m talking nail polish for those humid days on the beach or those hot, steamy nights in July or August! This nail polish collection is a lot of fun, which we all need right now.
I also like that China Glaze’s new formula is 7 free (no formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, camphor, triphenyl phosphate (TPHP), or xylene) and the new blend is more durable while still providing shine. China Glaze has also revamped the brush so that it is more rounded.

Takes Two To Mango
This bright orange nail polish has specks of gold, which makes it stand out even more. I don’t tend to wear orange because my skin tone is a bit pinkish, but I have to admit this colour grew on me. I applied two coats, which was sufficient to achieve an opaque finish.
Cuba Diving
Cuba Diving is a bright turquoise that I will be wearing a lot this summer! This polish went on easily and I found that two coats were enough to provide coverage. There was no streaking when I applied the polish. This is one of my favourite colours from the Havana Nights collection!
Tropic Like It’s Hot
This is a neon shade that teeters between lime green and bright yellow. I want to emphasize that this nail polish is very bright. I think it might look better on someone with a darker skin tone than mine although I might rock this shade on my toenails this summer since I have a lime green pair of sandals that would look great with this! There were some small streaks even after two coats so you might need a light third coat to achieve an opaque look.

Left My Heart in Havana
This is a really pretty deep lilac shade that you’ll be able to wear with so many of your summer outfits. I didn’t get any streaks when applying two coats of this colour. I’ll definitely be wearing this nail polish a lot in the summer.
Head To Moji-Toes
I love this true green shade and no, it’s not too dark for summer! This green has a slight blue hue. It was very easy to apply and I loved the look I got with two coats! I didn’t see any visible streaking. This is another one of my favourite nail polishes from the Havana Nights Collection.
Guava Mama
This is a pretty neon pink shade that leans towards a watermelon pink. One could even call it a coral-pink. I thought it would be a great polish for my toenails since it’s bright and eye-catching and pink is always a good choice for summer.
Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of China Glaze Havana Nights Collection. The nail polish applies very well and the colours are so bright and fun! I found the brushes to be just wide enough to apply a good width of polish and yet not too wide that you have difficulty polishing the sides of your nails.
