As a result of the pandemic, we’ve been starved for arts and culture! If you’re like me, you used some of your downtime over the past two years to read some of those books on your bedroom nightstand. Thankfully, many of the best Toronto music festivals are returning in summer 2022 so it’s time to get your groove on again! I hope you get a chance to check out some of these summer music festivals in Toronto:

TD Toronto Jazz Fest 2022

The TD Toronto Jazz Fest returns from June 24, 2022 to July 3, 2022 with 10 days of free outdoor music programming. Opening weekend celebrations take place at the TD Main Stage at Avenue Rd and Bloor and include the following free performances:

The New Power Generation: Featuring The Music Of Prince – Sunday, June 26, 2022, 8:45 p.m.
Savannah Ré – Saturday, June 25, 2022, 7:15 p.m.
Amber Mark – Saturday, June 25, 2022, 8:45 p.m.
TOBi – Sunday, June 26, 2022, 7:15 p.m.
Junia-T – Saturday, June 25, 2022, 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

The music then continues until July 3 with an incredible variety of free, outdoor programming including vocalist Kellylee Evans, the Hilario Duran Big Band and more.

In 2022, there will be two new stages offering free performances at The OLG Grove at Victoria University at University of Toronto campus.

The Beaches Jazz Festival returns from July 2-24, 2022 after a hiatus due to the pandemic. There will be free performances on the TD Main Stage (July 15-17, 2022), during the OLG Weekend Series (July 22-24, 2022), at the Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside (July 8-10, 2022), at Salsa on the Beach and during Streetfest (July 21-23, 2022).



Queen Street East from Woodbine Avenue to Beech Avenue will be closed to traffic during Streetfest. Enjoy live bands, food trucks and shop from local vendors during Streetfest every night from July 21-23, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
