Labour Day weekend is the last official weekend of the summer; if you haven’t had enough summer fun, now is the time to do it! Labour Day weekend 2022 arrives later this year: Saturday, September 3, 2022 to Monday, September 5, 2022. This gives us a few extra days of summer! Toronto International BuskerFest 2022

Visit the Toronto International BuskerFest 2022 to see busker acts, including circus acts, aerial acts, comedy acts, magicians, aerial acrobatics, fire tricks, dancers, hula, stilt walkers, jugglers and musicians. Enjoy a meal from popular food trucks or a cold one at the beer garden. Take the kids to the Family Fun Zone. If you’re looking for things to do Labour Day weekend in Toronto 2022 for the whole family, this is your event. The Toronto International BuskerFest takes place at Woodbine Park on Labour Day Weekend from Friday, September 2, 2022 to Monday, September 5, 2022. Hours are Fri., Sept. 2, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Sat., Sept. 3, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sun., Sept. 4, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Mon., Sept. 5, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Family Fun Zone closes are sunset each day. General Admission is $10; Children under 12 $5; Early Bird Family Pass (up to 2 adults and 2 children under 12) $20; Early Bird Friend Pass (up to 4 adults) $30. Woodbine Park is located at 1695 Queen St. E. There are nearby parking lots, as well as street parking.

Air Show at CNE 2022

One of the most popular Labour Day Weekend events in Toronto 2022 is the Air Show at the Canadian National Exhibition.

Of course, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds are the main attraction, but the 2022 Air Show will also feature:

  • the United States Air Force F-35 demonstration team, piloted by Major Kristin Wolfe
  • the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 demonstration jet
  • the Canadian Forces SkyHawks, Canada’s only military parachute demonstration team

The Air Show in Toronto takes place on Saturday, September 3, 2022, Sunday, September 4, 2022 and Monday, September 5, 2022. Watch the Air Show at the CNE waterfront beginning at 12 p.m. and ending at 3 p.m. Admission to the Air Show is free with CNE admission. Tickets to sit in the Exclusive Air Show Zone, which is located directly in front of center stage and has live narration of the event playing throughout, are $80 plus tax and ticket service fee and can be purchased online. (This fee includes admission to the CNE.)

Michael Wex’s The Last Night at the Cabaret Yitesh at Harbourfront Centre Theatre

Catch a performance of Michael Wex’s The Last Night at the Cabaret Yitesh on the Labour Day weekend in Toronto. It’s March 15, 1938 in Warsaw and the censor’s office has advised the performers in Cabaret Yitesh that tonight’s show will be their last. Already possessing visas to leave the country, the performers decide to present material forbidden by the censors including skits with rabbis, drag queens and a politicized hooker. Performances are on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. Run time is 120 minutes. Tickets are $25-$25 and can be purchased online. Chloe Pourmorady at Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage

Award-winning Peruvian American artist Chloe Pourmorady performs a free concert on the Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 9:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. Pourmorady sings in over 10 languages, plays violin, kamancheh and guitar and writes folk, instrumental and modal music. Harbourfront Centre is located at 235 Queens Quay West.

The Phillip and Lucinda Dino Show at The Wychwood Theatre

Take the kids to see The Phillip and Lucinda Dino Show at The Wychwood Theatre on the Labour Day weekend. Phillip and Lucinda are two dinosaur explorers who set out to understand the Paleozoic Era through song, dance and acrobatics. This interactive presentation is recommended for ages 5+. Dream in High Park 2022

Dream in High Park continues at High Park Amphitheatre for summer 2022 with Shakespeare’s romcom As You Like It. In this pastoral comedy, Frederick has usurped a duchy in France and exiled his brother, Duke Senior. Duke Senior’s daughter, Rosalind, also gets banished from court. Orlando is in love with Rosalind. Rosalind and her cousin Celia disguise as men and escape to the Forest of Eden where s/he encounters an unknowing Orlando and gives him some advice about love. The outdoor play features new music by Serena Ryder, Kiran Ahluwalia and Maryem Tollar. Performances on the Labour Day long weekend 2022 are on Friday, September 2, 2022, 8 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2022, 8 p.m., and Sunday, September 4, 2022, 8 p.m. Tickets are $30. Pay What You Wish tickets are available two nights before the performance online, via phone or in person. High Park Amphitheatre is located at High Park, 1873 Bloor Street West.
