“How you doin’?” If you answered, “I could be better,” maybe it’s time you got together with your friends? I did that yesterday when my friend Grace agreed to attend The FRIENDS Experience in Toronto with me. The interactive experience is currently on at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. If you’re a fan of the iconic ’90s TV series, you definitely don’t want to miss this! The FRIENDS Experience will definitely be one of the fun Toronto events for fall 2022!
The FRIENDS Experience in Toronto features 12 rooms decorated exactly as they were on set for the popular TV series. The FRIENDS Experience staff will happily take your photo in each of these rooms! You’ll also see clothes worn by the six characters, view images of Rachel’s changing hairstyles, and see mementoes such as Rachel’s letter to Ross.
Grace and I had a blast recreating scenes from the show including pivoting Ross’s couch upstairs, cooking in Monica’s kitchen, chillaxing on the sofa at Central Perk, playing foosball and trying out Joey and Chandler’s Barcaloungers! (I was so hooked on the show that I ended up buying a Barcalonger too…mine was a bit more elegant than theirs lol.)

Of course you’ll remember this scene from the opening credits where are six characters are dancing in front of the fountain!

Ross’s Type A personality took over when he kept telling Chandler and Rachel to “pi-vot” the couch so that it would fit up the stairs!

Grace and I got a chance to see why Joey and Chandler had such a good time playing foosball! Guess who won?

How dare we mess around with Monica’s kitchen?! I’m sure she’d have major anxiety if she knew we moved something out of place! (Actually, you’re not supposed to touch the props and we didn’t!)

I got a chance to serve coffee and treats in place of Gunther at Central Perk!

What would a Friends exhibit be without reference to Rachel’s famous hairstyle? In fact, there are five wigs that show the evolution of her lovely locks.

Fans can also purchase exclusive merchandise at the end of the exhibit including Friends t-shirts, notebooks and mugs.
The FRIENDS Experience in Toronto is at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, 3401 Dufferin Street until January 2, 2023. Exhibit is open Wednesday to Sunday. Tickets start at $30.50 and can be purchased online.
