Christmas with The Salvation Army 2022
Enjoy a Christmas concert with The Salvation Army at Roy Thomson Hall on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. The Canadian Staff Band will be joined by special guest Measha Brueggergosman-Lee, and led by Bandmaster John Lam. The concert also features The Canadian Staff Songsters and Songster Leader Major Len Ballantine. Tickets are $34.50 and $40.30 and can be purchased online.
Laila Biali Wintersongs at Koerner Hall 2022
Laila Biali debuts her Wintersongs project on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Koerner Hall. Biali will be accompanied by an ensemble including Jane Bunnett, Emilie-Claire Barlow, The Venuti String Quartet, George Koller, Larnell Lewis, and Ben Wittman. The evening features original material alongside arrangements of beloved secular and sacred classics, to welcome you into the holiday season. Toronto Mendelssohn Choir Festival of Carols 2022
The Toronto Mendelsson Choir performs its Festival of Carols Concert on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 and Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at Yorkminster Baptist Church. Conducted by Jean-Sébastien Vallée, the concert will include a sing-along portion featuring “Silent Night”, “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Joy to the World”. The concert is 1 hour and 22 minutes. TSO Holiday Pops at Roy Thomson Hall
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) performs their holiday hits and classic carols at Roy Thomson Hall on Tues., Dec. 6, 2022 at 8 p.m.; Wed., Dec. 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Thurs., Dec. 8, 2022 at 8 p.m. Broadway stars Nikki Renée Daniels and Paul Alexander will join the orchestra conducted by Steven Reineke and Lucas Waldin. Mariah Carey brings her Merry Christmas To All! concert to Scotiabank Arena on Friday, December 9, 2022 and Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $207.45, $231.20, $252.70, $304.20, $372.86, $454.77 and $640.59 and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.
St. Michael’s Choir School Annual Christmas Concert at Massey Hall
St. Michael’s Choir School will return to Massey Hall for their Annual Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 3, 2022. The choir will be accompanied by True North Brass. Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 10 a.m.
The Andy Kim Christmas at Massey Hall 2022
The Andy Kim Christmas returns to the newly-renovated Massey Hall on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 8 p.m. Andy will be joined by well-known performers to celebrate the holiday season. All proceeds from the Christmas concert will be donated to CAMH Gifts of Light.
Tickets to The Andy Kim Christmas will be available for purchase Friday, October 28, 2022 at 10 am at Massey Hall and on Ticketmaster. Tickets range from $35.50 to $85.50 plus fees. Special guests will be announced soon.
The Annual City Carol Sing at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church 2022
The Annual City Carol Sing will resume in person at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2 p.m. This free concert is in support of Churches on-the-Hill (COTH) Food Bank. The concert will feature GRAMMY Award winning singer and composer Loreena McKennitt, The Toronto Mass Choir and Breakfast Television host Dina Pugliese. Also performing are the Bach Children’s Chorus, the Hedgerow Singers and the Yorkminster Park Baptist Church Choir. William Maddox will be on organ and Eric Robertson will conduct the choir. Orpheus Choir of Toronto at Eastminster United Church
The Orpheus Choir of Toronto presents “The Gift of Christmas” at Eastminster United Church on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy classic carols, holiday favourites, stories and festive sing-a-longs. Kim’s Convenience star Gabriella Sundar Singh will narrate “Gift of the Magi”. Tickets can be purchased online and will be available for sale soon. That Choir Carols at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church 2022
The 13th annual That Choir Carols Holiday Concert will take place on Sat., Dec. 17, 2022 at 3 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 18, 2022 at 8 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 73 Simcoe Street. Tickets are $11.34-$104.49 (PWYC) and can be purchased online.
Toronto Children’s Chorus at Roy Thomson Hall 2022
The Toronto Children’s Chorus performs at Roy Thomson Hall on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. in A Chorus Celebration: Holiday Reflections. The Toronto Children’s Chorus will be backed up by the TCC Alumni Choir and the Toronto Youth Choir. The Chorus will be joined on stage by members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. CBC Sounds of the Season 2022
CBC’s Sounds of the Season returns on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Glenn Gould Studio at CBC, 250 Front Street West, Toronto. Metro Morning will broadcast live with host Ismaila Alfa from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The holiday concert will feature festive performances from The Strumbellas and many other artists. Proceeds from the concert will benefit local food banks. Tickets are free, but must be reserved online. Tickets become available online on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 8 a.m.
Handel’s Messiah by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO)
The TSO performs Handel’s Messiah at Roy Thomson Hall on Sat., Dec. 17, 2022 at 8 p.m.; Sun, Dec. 18, 2022 at 8 p.m.; Mon., Dec. 19, 2022 at 8 p.m.; Tues., Dec. 20, 2022 at 8 p.m.; and Wed., Dec. 21, 2022 at 8 p.m. The TSO will be conducted by Gustavo Gimeno with soprano Lauren Fagan, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Wake-Edwards, tenor Michael Colvin, and baritone Elliot Madore. The Glenn Miller Orchestra comes to Roy Thomson Hall on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 8 p.m. to perform favourite Christmas songs including “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”, “Jingle Bells”, “Let It Snow”, “Frosty The Snowman”, and “The Christmas Song (There’s No Place Like) Home For The Holidays”. They will also perform their timeless classics “Chattanooga-Choo Choo”, “Moonlight Serenade”, “In the Mood” and “Pennsylvania 6-5000”.
