We are well into autumn as I write this and we have chilling temperatures to prove it. You may be busy adding cozy cardigans to your fall wardrobe (let’s face it…fall clothes shopping is one of the most fun parts about fall, right?) But the arrival of the cooler weather is also a time that you may need to amp up your beauty routine to ensure that your skin is protected from harsh winter conditions. If you need to replenish your skincare products, continue reading to learn about beauty products for Fall 2022.

L’Oreal Voluminous Noir Balm Mascara
I received a sample of L’Oreal Voluminous Noir Balm Mascara and was eager to see how it compared to my favourite more expensive volumizing mascara. First of all, the wand is quite slim so when you’re applying the mascara, it helps keeps the eyelashes separate. The slim brush does mean that you’ll have to apply at least three coats to get decent volume and length. The product says it is clump- and smudge-resistant and I did not experience either of these issues. This mascara is made from 99% natural origin ingredients and is a balm-in mascara, which moisturizes your lashes. It’s also washable, which makes it really easy to remove. I would say it’s a close second to my favourite volumizing mascara since it takes more applications to get my desired volume and length, but L’Oreal Voluminous Noir Balm Mascara is a lot less expensive at $18.49. Purchase at Shoppers Drug Mart or Walmart.
Pascoe Hyaluronic Body Serum
I learned about Pascoe, a family-run company that has been in business for 125 years at the Bask-It-Style gifting lounge for TIFF 2022. This German business produces natural skincare products, as well as drainage creams, botanical remedies, drinkable ampoules and vitamins. I received a sample of Pascoe Hyaluronic Body Serum and couldn’t wait to try it. We use serums on our face so why not a serum for the body too? Pascoe Hyaluronic Body Serum is a light formulation that provides hydration for your skin, leaving it feeling silky smooth, but not greasy. It also reduces the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes and dry patches. Pascoe Hyaluronic Body Serum contains passionflower, marigold, pansy, thyme, gentian, echinacea, sage, and hops essences. $44.95 for 150 ml.

Diptyque Hair Mist in Do Son
While visiting the new Diptyque store at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, I received a sample of their Hair Mist in Do Son fragrance. This hair mist leaves your hair smelling gorgeous. The Do Son scent is a floral but not too sweet. It includes notes of Tuberose, orange leaves, jasmine, pink peppercorns, musk and Marine Accord. The hair mist also contains camellia oil to nourish your hair, which is especially important if your hair tends to get dry in the winter. You just need one or two sprays at most to condition your hair. I’m enjoying it for the intoxicating fragrance. Diptyque Hair Mist is $74 CDN for 30 ml.

Clarins Intense Lip Comfort Oil in Intense Rosewood
I attended Dave Lackie‘s Clarins All Stars Zoom Party and we all received a sample of Clarins products. I normally don’t wear lip gloss because I usually find that there is not enough pigment in the gloss to show up on my lips. That’s not the case with Clarins Intense Lip Comfort Oil! We received the Intense Lip Comfort Oil in Intense Rosewood and it looks great on my mouth. The product is a hybrid of a lip oil and lip stain, which means it not only moisturizes your lips, but stays on for a long time. The lip comfort oil’s 93% naturally-sourced ingredients include organic jojoba, hazelnut and organic rosehip star extract to hydrate your lips during the colder months. The Intense Rosewood shade looks more like a cranberry colour on my lips – there is no brown hue whatsoever. This shade will look great during holiday parties! I’m hooked on Clarins Intense Lip Comfort Oil and can’t wait to try other shades, notably the Intense Plum shade which Make-Up Artist Nina Westbury raved about! When trying new lipstick shades, Westbury recommends testing the lipstick on your fingertip and holding it up to your mouth. If the lip colour makes your teeth look nice, calms your skin and makes your eyes light up, that’s the shade for you!

SOJA&CO Apple, Pumpkin and Orange Liquid Hand Soap
I have discovered SOJA&CO products and I’m excited to share them with you! If you love fall as much as I do, you’ll want to get your hands on their Apple, Pumpkin and Orange Liquid Hand Soap. The intoxicating smell of apple and pumpkin will have you wanting to wash your hands frequently! Handmade in Quebec, SOJA&CO products are vegan, cruelty free, non-GMO and paraben-free. Plus, the brand is committed to sustainability since with every order, a tree will be planted in Canada where reforestation is needed. They also produce candles and bubble bath in Apple, Pumpkin and Orange in case, like me, you can’t get enough of this fragrance!

SkinCeuticals Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment
With winter weather fast approaching, you definitely need a good moisturizer to protect your skin. One of the most interesting beauty products for fall 2022 is SkinCeuticals Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment. I love that this moisturizer is oil-free, which is great for people with oily skin or who are prone to blemishes (that would be me!) I like knowing that the Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment hydrates my skin – so needed during the dry, winter weather – without clogging my pores. It also evens out and illuminates my complexion. Because it doesn’t contain oil, SkinCeuticals Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment feels very light on my skin. SkinCeuticals Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment is $136 CAD and can be purchased online at SkinCeuticals.

Soo’AE Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser
You may have noticed that skincare brands currently have a love affair with Hyaluronic Acid – it’s the starring ingredient in many skincare products these days! Soo’AE, a Korean skincare brand, has launched its Hyaluronic Acid Collection in Canada. I received a sample of the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser at the Bask-It-Style gifting lounge 2022. As its name suggests, this gentle cleanser not only does a deep clean of your skin, but provides a boost of hydration due to the fact that it contains eight types of hyaluronic acids. Other key ingredients include Hinoki Pine Water to moisturize skin; Chamomilla Recutita Flower Water to calm skin; and Citric Acid to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate your complexion. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling super clean without any residue. You can buy Soo’AE Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser, $19.50, and the Hyaluronic Acid Collection at Walmart Canada.
