With summer around the corner and its drying effects on the skin, it’s time to talk skincare! Of course, it’s always important to maintain a regular skincare routine all year round, but even more important when we are spending more time outside due to the warmer weather. Due to my sensitive skin, I have to follow a dedicated skincare routine that includes products that won’t irritate my rosacea-prone skin. Because my skin is considered to be (*ahem) “mature”, I am also concerned about the appearance of wrinkles, uneven skin tone and sagging skin. Continue reading to learn about some of my favourite new skincare products for spring 2023 that I’m using on a daily basis:
SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E
This new night serum from SkinCeuticals restores your skin while you sleep. Resveratrol B E is a great alternative for people whose skin is too sensitive for Retinol. SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E contains a maximized concentration of 1% pure, stable resveratrol with 0.5% baicalin and 1% pure vitamin E. This night serum will reduce the visible signs of aging, firm skin, as well as give it a new radiance. This is one of my favourite SkinCeuticals products because the formulation is so luxurious and absorbs really well into my skin. You’ll be pleased to know that this product is paraben-, dye-, fragrance- and gluten-free.
Purchase SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E, $208, online at SkinCeuticals. Follow SkinCeuticals on Instagram @SkinCeuticals
Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner
Redken’s new All Soft line of hair products is perfect for people who have dry or damaged hair. The All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner adds moisture to hair due to its argan oil formula. And yes, it leaves my hair feeling really soft! I don’t use much of the shampoo – perhaps an amount that is a bit larger than a quarter – and I find this is enough to get the benefits of the shampoo without my hair becoming greasy in a day or two. Purchase Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner on Amazon.

CeraVe_Canada Comforting Makeup Remover
CeraVe’s Comforting Makeup Remover is an ultra creamy lotion that is gentle on the eye area. The makeup remover contains three essential ceramides that condition lashes and don’t strip the skin. This makeup remover is even great at removing waterproof mascara! Purchase CeraVe Comforting Makeup Remover for $14.49 at Shoppers Drug Mart. Follow CeraVe Canada on Instagram @CeraVe_Canada
Vichy Neovadiol Multi-Corrective Eye & Lip Care
I have enjoyed using Vichy’s Neovadiol line that is tailored to the skin of perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. If you are near menopause, you may have noticed that hormonal changes have caused your skin to be drier. Vichy’s new Neovadiol Multi-Corrective Eye & Lip Care comes to the rescue with active ingredients such as Proxylane and Cassia extract to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and crow’s feet in the delicate eye area. The product also reduces the appearance of dark circles and reduces eyelid and under-eye puffiness. Boy, do I need this!
Purchase Vichy Neovadiol Multi-Corrective Eye & Lip Care online for $49.95 at Vichy Canada. Follow Vichy on Instagram @Vichylaboratoires
