September is here and that means very soon, we’ll be thinking about planning for the Christmas season. I always enjoy seeing Toronto Christmas concerts in December since they put me in such a festive mood! If you don’t want to be disappointed, book your Christmas concerts in Toronto 2023 now while the best seats are still available. I will update this blog post as I learn of more Christmas concerts in Toronto.

Loreena McKennitt: Under A Winter’s Moon at Koerner Hall 2023
Celebrate the holiday season with Loreena McKennitt at her Under A Winter’s Moon concert on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Koerner Hall. The concert will feature carols and tales that blends Celtic, Indigenous, and Welsh cultures.
Join the Juno Award-winning Canadian artist and her musical companions as they perform 15 seasonal songs, including “Coventry Carol,” “Good King Wenceslas,” and the “Huron Carol,” as well as a performance of Dylan Thomas’s nostalgic A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Gemini Award-winning actor Cedric Smith. She will be accompanied by Caroline Lavelle on cello and recorders, Ojibway artist and flautist Jeffrey “Red” George, and members of the Celtic group The Bookends, including Errol Fischer on fiddle, Pete Watson on guitar and bouzouki, and Cait Watson on Irish whistle, joined by Romano DiNillo on percussion.

Barra MacNeils at Massey Hall 2023
Barra MacNeils bring their East Coast Christmas concert to Massey Hall on Friday, December 22, 2023. The Christmas concert performed by the five MacNeil siblings, will feature favourite holiday songs gleaned from traditional Christmas ceilidhs and midnight masses. Tickets are $51.30, $75, $86.80 and $110.50 and can be purchased online or at the Massey Hall Box Office.
Holly Cole: A Swinging Christmas with The Royal Conservatory Strings 2023
Get in the holiday spirit with Canadian jazz songstress Holly Cole on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 8 p.m. at Koerner Hall. Her concert features Christmas standards along with eclectic selections of songs. Cole will be accompanied by her impeccable band along with string players from The Royal Conservatory.
Tickets are $120, $110, $90 and $75 and can be purchased online or at the Box Office.
Toronto Mendelssohn Choir Festival of Carols 2023
The Toronto Mendelsson Choir performs its Festival of Carols Concert on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 and Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at Yorkminster Baptist Church. Conducted by Jean-Sébastien Vallée, the concert will include a sing-along portion. The concert is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Tickets are Regular $89.95, $74.95, $59.95, $39.95 + $4 admin fee; Senior (65+) $81.36, $67.85, and $54.36. VOXTix (30 and under) $25. Purchase tickets online, in person or over the phone. Pick up tickets at the Box Office or at the concert. Yorkminster Park Baptist Church is located at 1585 Yonge Street (a few blocks north of St. Clair Avenue).
TSO – Home Alone in Concert 2023
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra performs this Christmas season favourite: Home Alone in Concert at Roy Thomson Hall on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, December 8, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. This holiday film features composer John Williams’s dscore performed live by the TSO to picture. Tickets are $62, $86, $147 and $151 and can be purchased online or at the Box Office.
Good Lovelies Christmas Concert at Massey Hall 2023
Good Lovelies bring their Christmas Concert to Massey Hall on Thurs., Dec. 21, 2023 at 8 p.m. Good Lovelies will sing songs from their new album, We Will Never Be The Same, as well as classic holiday songs, and other winter selections. Tickets are $39.40, $51.30 and $86.80 and can be purchased online or by calling 416-872-4255.
TSO Holiday Pops at Roy Thomson Hall 2023
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) performs their holiday hits and classic carols at Roy Thomson Hall on Mon., Dec.11, 2023 at 8 p.m.; Tues., Dec. 12, 2023 at 8 p.m.; and Wed., Dec. 13, 2022 at at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. The orchestra conducted by Steven Reineke and Lucas Waldin. Tickets are $62, $79, $99, $109, and $142 and can be purchased online or at the Box Office. Roy Thomson Hall is located at 60 Simcoe Street
Handel’s Messiah by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) 2023
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Handel’s Messiah is one of the most popular Toronto Christmas concerts 2023. The TSO will perform it at Roy Thomson Hall on Sun., Dec. 17, 2023 at 3 p.m.; Tues, Dec. 19, 2023 at 8 p.m.; Wed., Dec. 20, 2023 at 8 p.m.; Fri., Dec. 22, 2023 at 8 p.m.; and Sat., Dec. 23, 2023 at 8 p.m. Conducted by Gustavo Gimeno, the TSO will be accompanied by soprano Lauren Fagan, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Wake-Edwards, tenor Michael Colvin, and baritone Elliot Madore. The TSO will be joined by the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. Tickets are $41, $61, $75, $86, $121, $136, $141 and $161 and can be purchased online or at the Box Office. Roy Thomson Hall is located at 60 Simcoe Street.
