Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

The Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is a great choice for adults and kids during March Break 2024. Tour through the galleries at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada including the Dangerous Lagoon where you can see species up close. The moving sidewalk allows you to see a wide variety of sharks, as well as two green sea turtles and other fish from the underwater gallery.

Aquarist Talks and Dive Shows

Aquarist talks occur Mondays to Fridays at 10:30 a.m. and 2: 30 p.m. Find out more about the sea creatures at Ripley’s Aquarium by asking questions of the husbandry team. Dive Shows take place at Rainbow Reef Mondays to Fridays at 11:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. You might even get to see a live feeding.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada hours during March Break (March 8-17, 2024) are from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Last admission is at 9 p.m.

Alladin at Princess of Wales Theatre

The whole family will enjoy seeing Alladin at Princess of Wales Theatre. From the producers of The Lion King, the musical mixes beauty, magic, comedy and spectacle. March Break performances from March 12-17, 2024 are Tuesday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; additional performance on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.; additional performance on Saturday at 2 p.m.; and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $159, $139, $79 and $49 and can be purchased online or at the Princess of Wales Theatre Box Office. Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes including intermission.

Production contains strobe lighting, loud noises, flashing lights, haze, fog and smoke. Recommended for ages 6+.

Detective Murdoch is missing and you, Toronto’s newest constables, have been summoned to solve the case! Murdoch Mysteries Escape Game: The Secret of Station House No. 4 features a live actor in-character as a detective to assist participants. The escape game is designed for players aged 12 and up. Adult accompaniment is required for players aged 15 and under at a ratio of 1 adult to every 5 children. Murdoch Mysteries Escape Game is 60 minutes plus a 15 minute intro and 15 minute conclusion.

Admission to Murdoch Mysteries Escape Game is $45 plus tax from Monday to Thursday and $55 plus tax on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Royal Ontario Museum

Celebrate the beginning of spring during March Break at the Royal Ontario Museum. The ROM is offering special programming from Saturday, March 11, 2023 to Sunday, March 19, 2023 that is included with your ROM admission. The family-friendly exhibits will feature the many ways that wildlife prepare for spring, as well as highlight springtime celebrations from cultures around the world.

March Break 2024 Activities at the ROM

The Royal Ontario Museum has many activities scheduled for March Break 2024 including the following:

  • Zuul
    Star of ROM’s blockbuster 2018 exhibition, Zuul crurivastator—the gnarly-faced, armoured dinosaur with a sledgehammer-like tail—is back after a tour of Japan. Zuul’s skeleton is one of the most complete ever found for an ankylosaur, and is on view for a limited time.
  • Hands-on Activities

The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area 2024

The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival 2024 takes place at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area from Saturday, March 9, 2024 to Sunday, April 7, 2024. The festival will be open during weekends and during March Break from March 11-15, 2024. This is your chance to see how maple syrup is harvested from the sap of maple trees. With warmer than usual temperatures this winter, the window of opportunity to see this process is very narrow.

Maple Syrup Demonstrations take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition to the demonstrations, enjoy life size games, horse drawn carriage rides, and disc golf demonstrations. Purchase a variety of food options from local food trucks.

The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival event hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at Bruce’s Mill:
