Revery Toronto Downtown, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, and also owned by The Easton’s Group of Hotels and The Gupta Group, has opened and I was invited to the opening cocktail party! This Peter Street hotel is not only steps from the Rogers Centre, but is right in the middle of the Entertainment District!

We stepped out of sweat-inducing 40°C temps into the cool and inviting Muse Lobby Bar and were greeted by Christine Mulligan, Director of Sales and Marketing and Zorica Drapic, General Manager of Revery Toronto Downtown.

The Muse Lobby Bar fuses old-time Hollywood with modern touches. Decorated in sumptuous red velvet furnishings, the bar features an electric fireplace at one end and a marquee-style light fixture in the center of the ceiling. A sleek and luminously lit bar on the north side of the lobby can’t help but draw your attention!

Attentive servers passed mouth-watering appetizers in the Muse Lobby Bar including:

  • Avocado Toasts
  • Jumbo Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce
  • Veggie spring rolls
  • Beef Tartare
  • Scallops in Lime Sauce
  • Chicken Drumsticks in Barbecue Sauce
  • Beef Tenderloin

For refreshment, my guest had a delicious Espresso Martini while I sipped on an orange juice!

There are nods to the film industry throughout the hotel since Revery Toronto Downtown is located around the corner from TIFF headquarters. We loved the framed movie posters and film video at the check-in counter. Christine informed us that some of the hotel rooms will have a movie theme! I can’t wait to see those!

Christine led us on a tour of Deauville Club, which is located on the second floor. The fine dining restaurant features curved booth seating and floor-to-ceiling drapes in soothing mulberry and rose tones.

We then had a look at a few of the guest rooms, which were decorated in rich deep reds with white accents. The curved velvet couches seemed to belong in a 1940s movie set! I loved the full length, lighted mirror in the room for the best selfies and just to check yourself out! And if you want to bring your furry friend, these rooms are pet-friendly for an additional fee. The ultra modern bathroom features the most inviting freestanding bathtub paired with a stunning black vanity cabinet and white and grey marble tiles. The hotel also features a fitness centre with cardio equipment, weights and two Peloton bikes.

I had a blast celebrating the opening of Revery Toronto Downtown! Keep this hotel in mind if you want to stay downtown after a Blue Jays game or concert! Revery Toronto Downtown is also around the corner from one of my favourite Greek restaurants: Myth.

  1. This looks like a great hotel in Toronto! I typically stay at Hilton’s so I’m need to add this to my list when we visit. The bar looks like a great spot for a drink in the evening.

  2. How exciting for Toronto’s Entertainment District! The new Revery Toronto Downtown Hotel is set to bring a fresh wave of luxury and modern charm to the area. Can’t wait to see how it enhances the city’s hospitality scene!
