Buxom Full On Satin Lipstick in Candy Apple
I put away my bright fuchsias and pinks for the fall, preferring to wear plums, browns and copper shades. This is my first time trying Buxom lipsticks and I absolutely fell in love with their Full On Satin Lipstick in Candy Apple, $31, which I would describe as a coppery shade. These lipsticks contain peptides for an extremely smooth application. They also contain Hyaluronic Acid, which instantly plumps up my lips! The bullet-shape of the lipstick makes this really easy to follow the line of my lips. Buxom Full On Satin Lipsticks also have great staying power! It stays on my lips for hours unless I have a meal, in which case I do have to reapply it. Buxom is 100% cruelty-free, and made without parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum. This is going to be your new favourite lipstick!
Glo Skin Beauty Eye Shadow Quad in Cityscape
I love to play up my hazel-green eyes by wearing browns and beiges and the Glo Skin Beauty Eye Shadow Quad in Cityscape, $63 is the perfect eyeshadow quad for me! I put Dove (a medium taupe) on my lids, Haze (a sand colour) in my creases and Horizon (a cream colour) under my brows to create an earthy and natural look on my eyes. I love the way Glo Skin Beauty Eye Shadow applies – it’s very smooth and doesn’t leave residue! The shadows are long wearing and don’t crease! These talc-free, mineral eye shadows are also very pigmented so you don’t have to use very much. I also love that they are certified cruelty-free, contain no parabens, sulfates, soy or mineral oil.
Éminence Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel 5%
I have tried Éminence products before and love their high quality. This Hungarian organic skincare brand makes the wonderful Éminence Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel 5%, $50, which is perfect for pumpkin spice season! Made with real yam and pumpkin, this enzyme peel feels luxurious on my skin. I just leave it on for 15 minutes and it works to exfoliate my skin, helping to remove the appearance of pigmentation and damage from the sun. It can be used by all skin types.
Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer in Light 3
I love Stila mascaras and liquid eyeshadows, but I had never tried their foundation and concealer! The Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer, $55, ensures that your concealer matches your foundation. I selected it in Light 3, which has a slight yellow tone to counteract the redness in my face from rosacea. The concealer is located inside the cap of the bottle…just pop the cap open to access it. To access the foundation, unscrew the top half of the bottle and then press down on both sides of the circle, which will release the foundation. The foundation is Stila’s Youth Revival Bio-Available Mineral Complex that contains 15 bio-available vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. I found this to be a very lightweight foundation and I love that it’s oil-free! The concealer is also lightweight. To be honest, it could be a little heavier to cover my dark circles, but on the upside, it doesn’t look like you’re wearing concealer! Overall, I’m pleased with this product!
Éminence Monoi Age Corrective Night Body Cream
It’s so important to apply a good body cream in the dry and cold winter months and you can’t get much better than Éminence Monoi Age Corrective Night Body Cream, $43! This body cream is made with Monoi, shea butter, grape seed oil, Anti-Aging Stem Cell Complex, botanical hyaluronic acid, evening primrose and argan oil and, unlike other body creams, keeps my skin feeling smooth for days! I literally don’t have to apply it every day because my skin is still soft from the previous application. You don’t need a lot of the product – just use a small amount after your shower or bath and massage it into your skin. I highly recommend Éminence Monoi Age Corrective Night Body Cream to anyone who has dry skin and it is particularly suited for mature skin.
