I attended the Toronto launch of Blooming Lotus: 3.1 Phillip Lim x Amazing Thailand, a limited-edition athleisure capsule created in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and fashion house, 3.1 Phillip Lim at the beautiful OHA Wellness yoga studio in Liberty Village.
The wellness event showcased Lim’s clothing capsule, which was inspired by the HBO Original Series The White Lotus, whose Season 3 was filmed in Thailand. The event also highlighted Global Wellness Day, celebrated on June 14, which was appropriate since Thailand is a leading destination for wellness!
Upon arriving, I was presented with a coconut filled with refreshing coconut water – one of my favourite drinks! We were then treated to a presentation from Goway Travel about the beauty of Thailand. Thailand is known for its emphasis on wellness and offers many wellness experiences such as traditional Thai massage, yoga and meditation retreats, spa treatments and holistic wellness retreats.
We were then led by an OHA Wellness yoga instructor in a gentle 40-minute yoga session in the stunning, light-filled OHA studio.
We received a t-shirt from Lim’s limited edition athleisure capsule to wear during yoga class! We also received an OHA Wellness yoga bag and a pair of drawstring pants made in Thailand!
After our yoga session, we enjoyed delicious Thai food including chicken, noodles and vegetables; tofu, noodles and vegetables; and rice from Chiang Mai Restaurant and fresh juices from Greenhouse Juice Co. and we were able to mingle with our fellow attendees!
