Queens Harbour Restaurant has opened with a bang on Queens Quay West in Toronto and what a launch party it was! This incredibly spacious new restaurant features 23,000 square feet and seats up to 800 guests! Queens Harbour also has Canada’s largest retractable rooftop, two patios and a close-up view of the CN Tower! Guests will also love the open concept kitchen and interactive sushi bar!

When we entered the restaurant, we were immediately offered a glass of Prosecco! This gesture signaled that the evening was going to be deluxe!
Created by restaurateurs Ali Badreddine, Kevin Jazexhi and Iris Jazexhi, Queens Harbour’s mission is to serve with purpose and intention, always putting the guest first. This hospitality was on display front and center as servers endeavoured to meet our every need. My dining partner even got escorted to the ladies room by staff when she mentioned she had trouble finding it!
But it was watching the action in the open kitchen that blew me away! The precision of the steps in preparing and delivering the food was beyond impressive. One staff member co-ordinated the transfer of dishes from the kitchen to individual servers, ensuring that each server had different menu items before heading out to the guest area. I believe I counted at least 25 sous chefs busily preparing the most appetizing dishes! As a result, I don’t believe any party guest could have complained about going home hungry as there was more than enough food to go around. This is not always the case at restaurant openings!
Chef Robert Balint in collaboration with Julien Laffargue has crafted a Mediterranean Asian fusion menu that hits all the notes!

Some of the items I sampled included:
- Wagyu sliders
- Salmon sashimi
- Sake Fried Chicken
- Beef Kofta
- Miso Black Cod
Chefs were preparing lamb, chicken and beef kofta skewers on the north-facing patio!

Everything I had was top notch, but my favourite was the beef kofta!

There was lots of excitement at the party including mermaids performing as you entered the restaurant; a live band; an impressive fellow shucking oysters with one hand; another fellow administering caviar and vodka shots; a sushi chef slicing a massive Blue Fin Tuna; and a claw machine where you could win $50-$100 gift certificates for the restaurant!

Check out the view of the CN Tower from the east-facing patio!

I had an absolute blast! This is one special restaurant and I will be back! Thank you for inviting me!
