REIGN Restaurant will be offering a limited-run prix fixe menu for $130 per person from September 10-20, 2026. The menu is inspired by cinema’s most decadent moments, and begins with champagne and caviar through seared sea bass and a foie gras topped beef tenderloin “Rossini.” Additional highlights include:
The Director’s Cut: An à la carte headliner pairing Australian Wagyu with butter-poached Nova Scotia lobster claw.

W Toronto Hotel TIFF 2026 Tasting Menu
If you’re wondering where to eat during TIFF, you might want to consider trying the special tasting menu at W Toronto Hotel in Yorkville. TONO by Akira Back will be featuring The Nikkei Premiere, a four course tasting menu offered from September 10-30, 2026.
The first course features a Nikkei Hassun of bluefin tuna, wagyu tartare, or renkon prawn cake, leading to your choice of Nikkei-style hamachi or Canadian lobster. Mains include a bold rack of lamb, charcoal-grilled beef tenderloin, or aji-glazed brasa chicken followed by the chef’s choice of dessert.
The price is CAD $98 + tax and gratuity per person. Guests can book via OpenTable.

The Reservoir Lounge Jazz Bar and Restaurant for Live Music
After screening some premieres at TIFF, you may feel like hearing some jazz, blues, R&B or soul music. In that case, just walk a few blocks east to Old Toronto where you can relax with a cocktail while hearing live music at The Reservoir Lounge and you may just run into some visiting celebrities as the lounge has been graced by the presence of Prince, Drake, Queen Latifah and Rod Stewart. I was invited to the venue last week to check out their live music and food and cocktails menu. We were offered cocktails from the evening’s special menu, which included Blood Orange Margarita; John Jameson’s Ginger Beer; Veuve du Vernay Brut; Bertiolo Pinot Grigio and Valle Dorado Cabernet Sauvignon.
We got a taste of the regular food menu with passed appetizers that included:
- Butter-poached Nova Scotia lobster roll
- Vegan Corn Taco
- Poached Black Tiger Shrimp Cocktail
- Korean-Style Wagyu Beef Slider
- Free-Range Chicken Lemongrass Skewer
- Marinated Wild Mushroom Thin-Crust Pizza
- Roasted Churrasco Chicken Thin-Crust Pizza
Everything was delicious!
We also got to listen to several musicians perform who regularly play at The Reservoir Lounge. The music ranged from Jump-Blues, jazz, R&B and soul. You’ll definitely want to check out The Reservoir Lounge during TIFF for their excellent food and drink offerings and exceptional live music.
