I was invited to NKPR‘s ITHOUSE, a TIFF gifting lounge, to check out some amazing brands. This gifting suite is a place for actors, filmmakers, and media to relax during the hectic pace of TIFF. The IT HOUSE showcases luxury and lifestyle products, includes a fashion styling station, and a charitable component. IT HOUSE is in partnership with People Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and Shutterstock.

My first stop was to check out the new fall fashions, including select glam dresses to be worn at TIFF from Melanie Lyne. I selected a few pieces to try on at their styling lounge including a gorgeous long wine-coloured satin skirt and a short faux leather skirt. We got to select one piece to take home so I chose the satin skirt, which is so in right now. I can’t wait to wear it!

I then visited the adorable rescue puppies from Project Paws Canada for some canine therapy. The very well-behaved puppies are a Husky/Shepherd mix that will grow to 60 pounds and are available for adoption! There are 10 puppies in the litter and one fell asleep on my lap. I guess it wanted me to have some quiet time!

My next stop was Sorel Footwear to see their new waterproof shoe that you can wear throughout the winter! The Amber shoe is super stylish and comes in several colours. Perfect for when you don’t want to clomp around in heavy boots.

I then learned about ellement hypochlorous pet spray, which is a non-sting, fragrance-free, cleansing mist for dog, cats and companion animals. You can use it on your pet daily to eliminate odors and itchy skin.

Next, I chatted with Rolling Stone Magazine writer Eric Hendrikx, who has just published his new book, Motorcycle Life. Having been on a motorcycle only twice in my life, I asked Eric what drew him to the activity. He said the community of bikers was a huge appeal and also, being able to bike on incredible terrain such as Switzerland, Tokyo and Australia. His book is a collection of interviews with well-known bikers including Keanu Reeves and showcases the universal truths of motorcycle afficionados, as well as offers an insight into the incredible self reliance that is required of bikers.

We were offered healthy lunch options from LowKal including beef burritos, braised beef plate or lemon garlic grilled chicken plate, as well as some delicious protein brownies.
I also picked up some sugar free treats from Diablo including a No Added Sugar Milk Chocolate Bar with Almonds; Sugar Free Gummy Bears; and Sugar Free Vanilla Cookie with Cocoa Cream.
I also received a gift certificate to visit the thermal baths at Aire Ancient Baths.
