Bubbles & Brunch 2024, the charitable event in support of Look Good Feel Better, took place on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Toronto Event Centre. The annual event included a delicious brunch, luxury beauty stations from sponsors, games, music, and a silent auction. Guests were encouraged to dress for the Riviera since this year’s theme was Riviera Rendez-vous. I was delighted to be invited to attend to review the event for Torontonicity!

When we arrived about 10 minutes after the event opened at 12 noon, the place was already hopping with live music performances and a good-sized crowd already assembled. There was a definite party vibe apparent and guests happily smiled at each other as we explored all there was to see!
This annual event supports a wonderful non profit: Look Good Feel Better, which is Canada’s sole national charitable program dedicated to helping people across Canada manage the appearance-related effects of cancer and its treatment so that they can look and feel like themselves again while receiving cancer treatments.
Look Good Feel Better offers complimentary workshops that give Canadians the tools and techniques to feel confident and empowered while facing cancer. Their programming has been shown to provide health benefits to those facing all cancers, by increasing their confidence, positive self-image and well-being. Their workshops, which are offered across Canada’s provinces in person and online, include topics such as skincare, cosmetics, hair alternatives, bras and protheses and teen’s and men’s issues.
When my guest and I arrived, we noticed a long line at the Laura Mercier luxury beauty station because they were giving out and personalizing Laura Mercier tote bags. We waited for about 25 minutes and we were each rewarded with a high quality lined tote bag that will be perfect for the beach this summer!
We mingled for a bit and had a look at some of the beauty stations. Servers were passing around finger foods including battered cauliflower bites (delicious!), Caesar and green salads, slices of pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches, fries and fried chicken sandwiches. The latter were particularly delicious so much so that I had to have two!
My friend and I decided to get a few drinks at the bar: she ordered a Prosecco while I had an orange juice.

We then saw another line-up forming for lip print readings with Linda Googh. I have had palm and face readings before, but never a lip print reading so I was intrigued and quickly got in line. As we waited in line, we were able to meet and talk with some very nice women so that was a plus! After 30 minutes in line, I looked behind me and saw at least 50 more people in line. Lip print readings were indeed super popular!
For my lip print reading, Linda asked me to reapply my lipstick and make three kiss marks on a piece of paper. She then proceeded to read my lip prints (I have diamond-shaped lips!) and tell me about my personality e.g. that I was friendly and very detailed; what my strengths were e.g. that I was a leader and good at mentoring others; and what my current situation was. I have to say that she was very accurate in her reading, which lasted about four minutes. I’m going to read more about lip print readings because I was fascinated!

Another popular luxury beauty station was Drunk Elephant where they were giving skin analyses. We debated about lining up for this, but decided not to. The Shiseido booth beside Drunk Elephant also had a line up so we passed on that one too!

Next, it was time to have a look at the fabulous silent auction items, which included bundled beauty products, jewelry, event tickets and other desirable items!
Guests took home a deluxe swag bag that included full-size products from Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier, NARS, Shiseido, Drunk Elephant, IT Cosmetics, Jean Paul Gaultier, MAC, Marc Jacobs, Clinique, Coco & Eve, Innisfree, Origins, Burt’s Bees, Cela, Coppertone, Smashbox, Buxom, Rare Beauty and Dean Davidson. The total value of the swag was at least $800. Considering that the tickets for Bubbles & Brunch Toronto were $135 per person, the swag bag itself is an extremely generous gift from the event sponsors.

Mark your calendars for next year’s Bubbles & Brunch Toronto. Many of the guests I spoke to say they are making this an annual tradition! It’s a wonderful event where you can gather your girlfriends, mom and/or sisters together and have an amazing time while supporting a very worthy cause!
Thank you so much for inviting me!
