When you can attend an event featuring delectable dishes from Toronto chefs and caterers while raising funds for a worthy cause, there’s nothing better. Taste Matters is a fundraiser in support of Eva’s Initiatives, an organization devoted to providing shelter and opportunities to homeless and at risk youth in Toronto. This annual culinary event takes place at the Liberty Grand on November 2, 2017 and will feature fine food, wine, and craft beer. You’ll have a chance to mingle with over 500 guests while enjoying a wide variety of dishes and libations. There will be silent and live auctions to bid on your favourite item.


This year’s event will be hosted by Julie Albert and Lisa Gnat, cookbook sisters of Bite Me More. The sisters’ easy meal recipes have been featured in O Magazine. Each ticket holder will receive a complimentary copy of Julie and Lisa’s BiteMe Cookbook (value $30).

Eva’s Initiatives is a much-needed organization that offers a 24-hour emergency shelter for youth, provides training to youth and makes attempts to reconnect youth with their families. Eva’s assists approximately 5,000 youth per year.

Taste Matters takes place at the Liberty Grand, 25 British Columbia Road, Exhibition Place on Thurs., Nov. 2, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tickets for Taste Matters are $125 (includes tax receipt of $30). A 10-ticket package that includes a tax receipt of $200 is $1,150. Purchase tickets for Taste Matters online.

  1. I had my prom at Liberty Grand and fell in love with the venue! I always said I wanted to get married there… then I grew up and realized how expensive weddings are..
