I joined TikTok over a year ago, but I didn’t start posting regularly until a few months ago, probably because I wasn’t going anywhere. I love watching the dance-off videos, the sarcastic mom advice and the funny antics of people’s pets. You never know what you’ll find on TikTok! I haven’t really explored the app in full, but I have seen a lot of people posting their favourite recipes. I have modified a few popular TikTok recipes below. These recipes are very easy to make – the best kind in my opinion 😉

Accordion Potatoes
Accordion Potatoes, also known as Hasselback Potatoes or Baked Potato Fans, have an exterior layer that is quite crispy when cooked properly. They go well with herbs and garlic butter. They are also very easy to prepare and have a unique look that will level up your meal presentation.
Ingredients:
- 4 potatoes, Yukon Gold or Russet
- 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons fresh minced parsley, tarragon or oregano
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a bowl, mix pepper, salt, minced garlic, butter and olive oil. Slice potatoes crosswise leaving half an inch at the bottom of each potato so the potato is still in one piece. Spread the butter-olive oil mixture over potatoes, ensuring that sides are adequately coated.
Place potatoes on a nonstick baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes. Potatoes should be golden brown. Garnish with fresh minced herbs such as parsley, tarragon or oregano.
