The arrival of May is a welcome event after the long winter we had. Many people will be visiting Toronto in May during the Victoria Day long weekend, which is early this year taking place from May 16-18, 2026. The warmer temperatures mean people are more excited about being outdoors so Toronto’s many attractions will be busier. If you live in or will be visiting Toronto in May 2026, there are a lot of fun events happening including Massey Hall and RBC Amphitheatre concerts, Blue Jays games, a wine festival and a super popular free Toronto event: Doors Open Toronto. Fleurs de Villes FLORA in Bloor-Yorkville

From May 6-10, 2026, the Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood will be decorated with floral installations as part of Fleurs de Villes FLORA. Inspired by the Roman Goddess of Spring, the five-day event involves local floral designers creating 30 original couture creations all from fresh flowers. Fleurs de Villes also features the following activities:

  • Flower Market (Sat., May 9, 2026, 10 AM – 6 PM): A curated pop-up across Village of Yorkville Park, Manulife Centre, and The Colonnade;
  • Live Music (Sat., May 9 & Sun., May 10, 2026, 1 PM – 4PM): Enjoy live street performances throughout the trail at Village of Yorkville Park, The Colonnade, and Manulife Centre. Featured local
    talent includes Ale Nunez, Christ Platt Trio, and Danielle Bassels;
  • Roaming FLORA Models (Sat., May 9, 2026 11 AM – 3 PM): Guests will encounter three roaming FLORA models along the trail, adorned in Fleurs de Villes floral headpieces;
  • “Flowers Make Us Happy Hour”: Throughout the neighbourhood, top restaurants and cafés will offer happy hour features and floral-inspired menus, including signature cocktails and dishes at participating destinations along the trail.
Guests can donate to Breast Cancer Canada on-site in the Manulife Centre.

Wine Fest 2026

Wine Fest, a popular wine and drinks festival, takes place at Heritage Court at Enercare Centre from May 15-17, 2026.

General Admission is $46 plus fees. Ticket includes three complimentary pours; exploring hundreds of wines and drinks from around the world; access to the full festival experience including photo ops and music; and access to seminars (space permitting). Tastings are purchased separately with digital drink tickets starting at $1.50.

Do you follow a gluten free diet? Then you’ll want to check out Gluten Free Garage taking place on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Wychwood Barns. Discover and sample new products, and meet food producers at this gluten-free food festival. More than 70 vendors will be featuring gluten-free food including fried beignets, bubble waffles, spanakopita, perogies, bành mì, Jamaican patties, fresh bagels, pizza, pastries, beer and more.

Gluten Free Garage hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie Street, Toronto.
